Mia Norrie (BA, LLB), founder of Norrie & Co., is a human resources and labour relations consultant. Ms. Norrie is an experienced mediator, investigator and trainer who specializes in the areas of conflict resolution, workplace harassment and labour relations.
Mia Norrie is currently on the Alberta Government roster of mediators. She also has her Qualified Arbitrator (Q.Arb) designation. Since graduating from the University of Alberta Law School (1991) and being admitted to the Alberta Bar (1992), Ms. Norrie has worked exclusively in the human resources and labour community.
Overall, the focus of Norrie & Co. is to resolve workplace conflict. Ms. Norrie works in a neutral role assisting unions and employers in moving towards a future that fosters productive solutions and avoids expensive and adversarial litigation.

Ms. Norrie has had the unique opportunity to work for both management and unions during her career. Her most recent experience was gained by working in executive roles as the Senior Director of Corporate Services at ATCO Gas and as the Executive Director of Human Resources at the Edmonton Police Service.
In the past she was also a Business Agent and General Counsel for a large public sector union.

Since 1997 Ms. Norrie has had her own consultancy, Norrie & Co., which has provided her the opportunity to expand her work as a consultant in the areas of labour relations, mediation, investigations and training.
Ms. Norrie works with organizations to assist them in identifying and working through very difficult workplace conflict and harassment issues.
Kevin has over 35 years’ experience in the areas of law enforcement, public safety, security and operational risk management in the private and public sector.
Kevin has held senior management and executive leadership positions in both industries
He has a strong background in investigations, public safety program design and implementation. He has significant experience in leading teams through change management and crisis management activities.
Currently, Kevin is Principal Director the Investigations Division of Norrie & Co. that focuses on workplace behaviours, employee code of conduct and professional standards investigations.
